This is the proof that Filipinos are not behind in terms of scientific breakthroughs. This photo is a locally designed meteorological buoys developed by Gerwin Guba and company from the Advance Science and Technology Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (ASTI-DOST).
meteorological buoys are instruments used in alerting impending dangers brought about by catastrophic weathers. This buoy will be capable of real-time data acquisition and will be equipped with sensors that can be used to collect and measure wind, relative humidity, air temperature, barometric pressure, rainfall, and sea temperature.
This technology can be use to improve the data collection and enhance the weather systems in the country.
