Typhoon Maysak, locally known as Chedeng to the Philippines, is expected to landfall today (April 5) to the eastern coast of Aurora, Quezon and Isabela Provinces. According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Typhon Maysak, continued to move west northwest with a speed of 19 kph and is expected to make landfall over the coast of Isabela-Aurora by Sunday morning.

Storm Warning Signal No 2 is raised in the Province of Catanduanes. While Signal no 1 in Isabela, Aurora, Quirino, Quezon, Including Polilio Island, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Rizal, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Viscaya, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Apayao, Cagayan, Benguet, Kalinga and La Union.
Local authorities also warn the public for possible storm surges and sea surface waves of up to 2 meters high particularly in the eastern coast of Aurora, Quezon and Isabela.
