Advisory: The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs releases a new circular against undocumented and illegal workers in Saudi Arabia

1The Philippine embassy in Riyadh Saudi Arabia releases the following advisory to remind all the Filipino communities in the Kingdom about the newly released circular by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs against violators of the Saudi rules and regulation pertaining illegal expatriates.

The new circular describes expat violations and its corresponding penalties which includes: freelance working, overstaying or delaying departure after the expiration of visa, intruding at the or expat caught at the Saudi borders without proper documents. Likewise, any Individual or groups found to be transporting, and or harboring undocumented or illegal expats are also penalized. The penalty will not be less than 10,000 Saudi riyals and up to 100,000 Saudi Riyals, with imprisonment and deportation.

Below is the matrix of violation and its corresponding penalties

  5. To demand for court order to confiscate the means of the land transport if it is owned by the transporter himself, his accomplice or partner
